Fairey at CACC
Combining both contemorary art and architectture, Shepard Fairey’s Supply and Demand opened last night at Zaha Hadid’s CACC. If anybody on here is in Cinci, I’d really appreciate a copy of the commemerative screen print. I will gladly pay and/or barter for some NW microbrew. http://obeygiant.com/headlines/contemporary-arts-center-cincinnati-x-supply-and-demand...

#integration
I finally got around to seeing Avatar last weekend. CG overload aside, I really enjoyed the central theme that focused on the tight integration between humans/animals/plants/architecture. It reminded me of the architectural and environmental integration in Duly Lee’s Canopy Tower concept. Warning: NSFW or any other situation where productivity is needed. Space Collective is highly...

It’s an interesting concept. …although it will be a loooong time before the need justifies the cost of infrastructure. Make sure you click through the link below to Kolelinia’s site to fully understand the concept. via kolelinia via maad.collective’s posterousnous | Comment »

Now that's a pool house!
I really dig the marriage of the high-design concept with the indigenous materials and methodology. This is not an object that screams ‘look at me;’ rather it is an experience that whispers ‘come play with me.’ My only criticism is that I would have liked to see a connection between the pool and the interior spaces of the house. Imagine the play of light in each room if...

Glass is Liquid via @CoolHunting
Checkout this killer vid of maad.collective collaborators Andi & Justin gettin down w/ some very hot liquid!  http://www.coolhunting.com/archives/2009/11/glass_is_liquid.php A lyrical study of glassblowers Justin Parker and Andi Kovel’s (aka Esque’s) process, this video nicely compliments the 2007 mini-documentary Cool Hunting made on their studio. With a neat visual...
